Meet Our Educators

Claire – Centre Director

My personal philosophy is to build a strong and trusting relationship with the children and their families. Thus enabling me, together with the team of educators, to provide the highest level of care and education to the children in my care. I feel it is important to listen to the children’s voices and further promote all areas of their development, following their interests. I believe children learn through play and their interests and, by providing them with the correct resources to extend these interests, their learning and development can be scaffolded.

Katy

Our role as educators is to ignite a child’s curiosity, enabling them to become resourceful, inquisitive and therefore independent individuals. I believe in a child-centred, emergent curriculum, and creating an environment in which children feel happy, safe and valued. It is so important in the early years for children to discover, to investigate and to explore, and our job as educators is to provide them with a stimulating setting and the tools in which to do so. In this way I hope to empower children to gain a genuine lifelong love of learning. I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the Leaps and Bounds team and sharing this journey with you and your child.

Clare

I believe in providing a safe, positive, fun and nurturing environment where we can guide children in to the next stage of development with confidence in themselves and an excitement for continued learning. Children need the assurance of being loved and cared for, whilst they are enjoying an educational curriculum, full of choices, options and responsibilities to develop their learning. I believe in providing holistic values as they develop and follow their interests in a stimulating and ever-changing environment.

Racquel

I believe Early Childhood Educators play an important role in each child’s life and I believe our students are our future. Each one of our students has the potential to bring something unique and special into the world. It is a privilege and honor to work alongside the children’s families to ensure the children feel safe, secure and supported. My aim is for our children to explore in a creative, challenging and stimulating environment whilst having fun, engaging with their peers and learning through play.

Joyce

Each child is unique with different interests, backgrounds, and developmental stages. I will always be passionate, patient, caring, fair and fun to ensure children are being loved and cared for while they are enjoying the educational environment. Security and trust form the basis of my relationship with each child.

Sam

I believe that each child is an individual and as an educator, I will value and develop each child’s strengths. Interests, skill, abilities and knowledge to extend their learning. I believe that children learn through play. I will provide opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine. I believe the environment plays a major role in the success of an early childhood program. It should enhance the children’s interests in all developmental areas.

Tiffany

My philosophy involves treating each child respectfully as the special and unique individual they are. Since I primarily work in the kitchen, I aim to inspire a love of nutritious food by encouraging tasting new foods, role modelling enjoying a variety of nutritional foods and talking about the different ingredients and meals. I also wish for each child to feel valued, safe and cared for which I hope in turn inspires them to use these positive behaviors with their interactions with peers and other relationships. Lastly, I want them to have fun!
