We believe children are unique individuals who develop at their own rate, and by providing meaningful and realistic learning opportunities, children will explore, create, discover, and imagine.
We believe small community focused preschools are where young children learn best and have the opportunity to thrive. We aim to promote the development of the whole child through focusing on practical skills, collaborative play, independence, uniqueness, cultural awareness, compassion and health.

I am a trained teacher and a dedicated mum to three beautiful children. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with families, and work alongside passionate teachers and educators to ensure children receive the best education. I believe all children are unique and capable, with their own interests and passions. As teachers it is our job to explore those interests, nurture those passions and instil a belief in each child that they are capable, resilient and can make a difference in our world.
Area Manager
As a Preschool Director my own philosophy is based on helping young children grow in confidence and become effective learners who can contribute to their world and create relationships with other children and Educators. I always maintain a respectful relationship with families, working together to achieve the best outcome for their little one. I believe our amazing environment and our experienced Educators provide an exceptional early childhood setting based on the Early Years Learning Framework, ensuring the community that surrounds our preschool is involved in the program.

I am an experienced early childhood professional with experience in an Australian and international context. I adopt a culture of working in partnerships with families whilst creating trusting, strong and positive relationships. Bunbury OSHC Coordinator
Hi, I am Jessica. I have been working with children for the past 5 years in roles such as education support, disability support and now as an OSHC Coordinator. I strongly believe that each child is unique – in their interests, skills and abilities, and that these differences should be nurtured through play and learning experiences that we carefully curate. I take great pride in my role by embracing the development of each individual child, exploring the contributions they make to our lives and guiding future educators to become the best role models they can be.
Bunbury Preschool Director
Acting Director | Educational Leader | Room Leader
My own philosophy shows that I value children above all else. Their imagination, playful and wonderous personalities is what drives me to be a better educator. As a wife and Mother to 4 gorgeous children I strive to make this beautiful centre a home away from home. I have worked with children for the past 12 years as a qualified Educator. I am currently studying my Bachelor of Early childhood education so that I can further my knowledge and help children become better versions of themselves.
Capel OSHC Coordinator
My name’s Frankie and I’ve worked with children since I was young. My personal philosophy is that children are all individuals, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, and it’s our job to help them learn and grow, remembering that we all learn in different ways. I love seeing their smiles every day and watching them grow into amazing young people. I encourage my staff to develop strong and meaningful relationships with the children and their families, as here in Capel, we are all a part of our awesome community. We value the input of the children, listening and learning from them each day, and implementing their ideas in our program and play.
Highgate Preschool Director
“As the director of Leaps and Bounds Preschool, I’m dedicated to creating a warm and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and excited to learn. Bringing my Brazilian heritage into our preschool, I blend cultural experiences to help build a diverse and inclusive community where everyone feels they belong. Strong relationships with families and the community are central to what we do. We know that when parents and educators team up, children benefit the most. That’s why we regularly host family events and community gatherings to strengthen these connections and support each child’s growth. I believe in keeping things transparent and communicating openly. By staying connected and working together, we create a positive space where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. At Leaps and Bounds Preschool, my goal is to consider every child, family, and educator can growth, with an emphasis on the heart, hands, and mind.”
Manly Preschool Director | Early Childhood Teacher (Maternity Leave)
I am an Early Childhood Teacher with 20 years experience within the industry. I believe that each child is central to their own learning, inspired to know and learn by their own interests. My goal is to harness these interests and inspire the children to question, investigate, create and learn through a rich play-based curriculum. My classroom is always filled with love and smiles and I endeavour to listen to each of the children in my care and present experiences that encourage the children to develop their strengths, problem-solving skills, independence, resilience and knowledge, as well as their creativity. I feel that fostering each child’s sense of belonging, as well as partnerships with families are the foundation of my work, and I strive to build meaningful, positive and respectful relationships with all children and families within the centre.
Serpentine Preschool Director
I believe all children should feel welcomed in a safe, warm environment where they feel like they belong. The first 5 years of a child’s life is the most important so I believe all children should be provided with educational, fun play based curriculum to encourage them to grow into unique individuals. I believe its important to communicate with families to gain information about the children’s interest, beliefs and traditions. All children and their families should be respected and treated equally.
Serpentine OSHC Coordinator
I believe that all children should be able to express themselves in a safe and comforting environment. As someone who is studying primary teaching I enjoy planning purposeful activities so children can learn through play based curriculum and create their own ideas of the world. I build meaningful relationships with all children and families to ensure they feel valued at our OSHC.

Leaps and Bounds Pre-school is a warm and welcoming environment set within a beautiful premise. Each child is greeted with a smile and the care from all staff is delivered to suit their individual personality and needs. The routine makes the day flow smoothly and there is an excellent variety in the learning and play opportunities to keep the children engaged. We have very happy to be part of the Leaps and Bounds.
KateIt is comforting to see my son happy and involved with his classmates and with the Leaps and Bounds staff members. They did such a wonderful job developing skills, language and helping with separation anxiety in the most gentle way. He enjoys most of the activities indoor but his favourite is the outdoor area. I’m certainly happy with the decision of making my son part of the L & B family.
JazminWe are so grateful for everything the staff have done to help Katy to feel at home from day 1. She has truly loved being at Leaps & Bounds and its going to be difficult to go, she will miss everything about Leaps & Bounds. Thank you!
MelThank you Leaps and Bounds staff for this wonderful preschool. We are so incredibly happy here and feel so lucky to be a part of the Leaps & Bounds family.
LauraWords cannot thank you enough for the amazing environment you have created and nurtured. Your amazing staff love and respect our children and our family could not be more grateful.
BecWe absolutely love Leaps & Bounds Preschool Highgate and would recommend it to anyone looking for childcare. This is our daughters 3rd daycare & sons 2nd and by far the best we have seen and experienced. The transition went so smoothly with the staff and on the first few days our children got to spend with each other so they always felt safe which meant a lot for us as parents. Our son is more settled than he ever was at his previous day-care and each morning it is such a calm and welcoming environment for the both of them. Drop off’s have never been so easy & it is such a joy to see the kids so settled and happy. They always talk about their friends & teachers when they get home and look forward to going again each day. There is nothing to fault about Leaps & Bounds and we could not recommend a better place for anyone to send their kids.
Erica FarrellI’m so happy with my experience so far at Leaps and Bounds Highgate, After trying one other centre and visiting a couple more I knew I had found the right place as soon as I walked in the door. The teachers are wonderful and attentive with my son and the centre has a beautiful home-like feeling with a great focus on outdoor activities and fun learning activities.
DewiThank you for making the transition into Preschool such a positive experience for my daughter. After having her in Family Day care for the past 2 years I was keen to find a Preschool that was small and still had an intimate feel. Leaps and Bounds has certainly created that environment. With caring Educators, small classes, a great outdoor play area and endless creative stimulation she is thriving and loving her time at Preschool.
AmyTwo of my children have enjoyed their preschool days at Leaps & Bounds and I couldn’t be happier with their experiences. They have built strong friendships and developed a confident sense of self, thanks to supportive staff and a loving environment. Both children have learned invaluable skills to help make their transition into primary school as smooth as possible. I am sure my youngest child is looking forward to her first day at Leaps & Bounds too.
TinaWe feel so very fortunate to have our 2 children attend Leaps and Bounds Preschool. From the moment we walked in, we felt ‘part of the family.’ The carers are all so friendly and approachable and make sure that we are kept involved and informed about the children’s progress every step of the way. The centre itself is warm and inviting, the activities offered to the children are interesting and varied with staff dedicated to extending the children’s thirst for knowledge in the areas they show interest in. Above all my children’s first experience of education is that that learning is fun. They are happy and feel safe, loved and part of a community. What more could I ask for?
AmeliaBoth my children love attending Leaps and Bounds Preschool. Throughout their time at the Preschool they have established good friendships with other children and carers. The student groups form quite a little team and my youngest can name everyone in her class by first and last name. Furthermore, the programs delivered give students the opportunity to learn new skills and ideas as well as play and explore the natural environment. My children particularly love getting involved in the garden. I really like the student lead learning that is so evident in everyday activities and lessons.
