I am originally from Brazil, where I studied and worked as a chemist before moving to Australia. I have now spent 8 years working in early childhood education and hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. I am passionate about bringing my science background into the learning environment, creating play-based experiences that introduce STEM concepts in fun, engaging and meaningful ways for young children. I believe, as Jean Piaget described, that children are like “little scientists” who learn through exploration, observation and hands-on experiences.
I value providing a balanced program that includes arts, music and imaginative play, supporting children’s creativity and self-expression. As an educator, I enjoy being actively involved in children’s play, building strong and trusting relationships that help them feel safe, develop a sense of belonging, and grow into confident and capable learners. Above all, I believe that learning should be joyful — when children are having fun, they are naturally engaged, curious and ready to discover the world around them.
