    Penelope Swinney: Approved Provider

    I am a trained teacher and a dedicated mum to three beautiful children. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with families, and work alongside passionate teachers and educators to ensure children receive the best education. I believe all children are unique and capable, with their own interests and passions. As teachers it is our job to explore those interests, nurture those passions and instil a belief in each child that they are capable, resilient and can make a difference in our world.

    As a Preschool Director my own philosophy is based on helping young children grow in confidence and become effective learners who can contribute to their world and create relationships with other children and Educators. I always maintain a respectful relationship with families, working together to achieve the best outcome for their little one. I believe our amazing environment and our experienced Educators provide an exceptional early childhood setting based on the Early Years Learning Framework, ensuring the community that surrounds our preschool is involved in the program.

    I believe that children are unique in their own special ways and are very capable of achieving especially when they feel safe and respected in their learning environment. I also believe in the importance of catering to individual needs, abilities, interests and learning styles to make learning more personalised and meaningful. My aim as an educator is to create an inviting and safe space where mutual trust and respect can be developed, whilst providing hands-on learning experiences that are fun, stimulating, challenging and achievable. Ultimately, I aim to shape children’s minds in the way they behave and think so they grow to become individuals who are positive and resilient

    Rebecca: Qualified Educator - Maternity Leave

    I find great joy in nurturing the growth and development of young children by both embracing and encouraging a child’s innate sense of wonder, creativity and enthusiasm. My own teaching philosophy is based on the belief that children learn and develop best when they have a sense of belonging and are empowered as active agents in their own learning and discovery. I believe that each child is born to bring something special into this world which is why I love working with young children as they have such a refreshing view on the world.

    I believe life is filled with love, laughter and happiness! The kitchen is always the ‘heart of the home’ and that’s my role. At Leaps & Bounds Preschool I aim to provide children with healthy, nutritious meals that they love to eat. I cannot imagine walking into an environment and not seeing a child, not hearing their voices and not making a difference in their lives! When a child is safe, secure and supported, their work is also filled with Love, Laugher and Happiness.

    Samantha: Qualified Room Leader

    I believe that the children are the future generations of this world and our role as educators is to nurture their learning and development and help them grow into confident learner's. I believe that all children learn differently and we need to amend the way we teach for all children to learn. My focus is ensuring I build positive and trusting relationships with the children and the families within our preschool and also provide the highest quality care. I believe it is our responsibility to ensure our environments are clean, safe and inviting for the children and their families to enable us to maximise the learning potential for all children in our care.

    Livia: Assistant Trainee Educator

    I believe that every child has the right to a safe and secure and loving environment, knowing that all children have different abilities, we as educators need to respect our families and children and understand that every child develops at their own pace. The key educator approach has such great value when building trusting relationships with the children and families. The key educator approach is essential to children settling in to the preschool and becoming familiar to their new environment.

    Hannah's House: Registered Nurses

    Registered Nurses assist our team to provide improvement of quality of life for Western Australian Children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Lisa and Lucy provide holistic care focusing on the emotional, social and physical needs of the child and family, starting from diagnosis and continuing throughout the child's life.

    Bryce: Assistant Trainee Educator

    I believe educators interactions and intentional teaching is the best way children learn, being guided practically and shown first hand. Knowing children learn in their own way, I approach each child differently and cater to their learning styles so their developmental milestones can be reached. I believe teaching children courage, respect, teamwork and communication from a young age with aim to allow children to grow stronger physically and mentally throughout their childhood.

    Cassi: Qualified Assistant Educator

    I believe that when children have a sense of belonging and feel safe, secure and supported they have the confidence to play, explore, make decisions and learn. As an Early Childhood Educator developing nurturing, respectful and reciprocal relationships with children and their feelings creates a responsive and inclusive environment which promotes each individual child's belonging and learning.

    Kylie: Assistant Educator

    I believe it is the role of an early childhood educator to gently guide and equip young children with the skills that will enable them to explore and experience their world confidently, creativity, independently and in their own way. I believe in the importance of purposeful and free play. I believe all children have the potential to become capable and confident learners. I believe that children learn by observing, exploring and doing and I am committed to providing rich and interesting opportunities for them to do this. I believe in the magic of wonder, establishing positive relationships and having a laugh. I believe in a collaborative approach with staff, parents, the community and most importantly the children themselves. I believe in teaching children to do it themselves. The child is ways central to my work.
